Beginning with the 2024-2025 academic year, under a collaboration agreement between the prestigious Gulf Medical University based in UAE, The Thumbay Fergana College of Medical Sciences was established under the Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health to offer the Graduate Entry Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program.

Founded in 1998, the university has earned a reputation for graduating over 4,000 health professionals from 102 nationalities at its Al Jurf campus in Ajman.
